Drink deep- and be restored!

Standard

A message from the Father today-
Today is not a hard day. Take it moment by moment and enjoy the moments. I am sending you gifts today- provision and wisdom for the road ahead. Go and receive all that I have for you. Do not lean on your own understanding or place your trust in your physical body- just rest in Me. I Am your source, and I Am more than enough. Your joy is in Me- Your hope is in Me- You will find everything You need in Me. Keep Your heart and eyes steadfastly fixed on me and you will see how I have placed provision ahead of time right where you need it. I have placed more than enough- take what you need and give the rest away. Receive freely, give freely. That is the rhythm of love. Stay at my rhythm and pace and do not try to go faster, be stronger, or do more than I have asked of you. Rest, trust, worship- this is the only way to succeed. Rejoice in who I have been to you. Rejoice in the promises I have made you for your future. And rejoice in what you are believing I Am doing right now. Rejoice in all things. Nothing is too hard for me- press into me and find all that you feel like you lack- for the truth is there is no lack in Me. I love you.

Getting out of His way

Standard

For the last few days, I have been challenged with getting out of God’s way and giving Him authority in my life that I usually like to have myself by having it all figured out. He has been speaking to me about how much more He longs to demonstrate His love, His kindness, His goodness to me- but until I get out of the way- until I release what I have decided is what I can handle, or I can make happen, or I am ok with- He doesn’t have the room to bless me the way He desires to. I believe this goes back to the basics. Would you consider joining me in the terrifying journey of getting out of the way- laying down your plans- stop saying “I have to….” and really begin trusting Him?
Is He Faithful? Is He Kind? Is He Trustworthy? Are my words saying this? Are my actions in line with what I say I believe?
Proverbs 3:5-6
Amplified Bible (AMP)
5 Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
6 In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.
Matthew 6:33
New Living Translation (NLT)
33 Seek the Kingdom of God[a] above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

Did you join the challenge?

Standard

If you haven’t yet gone over to my Facebook Page to follow along- make sure you get there soon! We have just begun a year long challenge  called Morning, Noon, and Night. It is a journey into memorizing God’s Word and intentionally choosing to live it out all day long. Here was the first day……hope you join in!

Morning:
Go ahead a read aloud your scripture from 1 Cor. 13:4-8a
Read it again aloud with your name in it.

Today’s Focus
Love is Patient.
What does being patient look like? What is patience? How can I be patient?
Well, first things first. Patience is a fruit of the Holy Spirit of God. If you are in Christ, the Holy Spirit lives in you. Therefore, patience isn’t something you have to be, but something you have to allow Him to be through you. God is LOVE- therefore every single thing that LOVE is, He is. If we seek to be patient, we are sincerely seeking to be more like Him. None of this can be done on our own.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, Your Word says that Love is patient. Patience does not come natural to me, however, I am learning that is is part of who You are. Lord, I invite you to express Your patience through my expression on Earth today. I ask Lord that you help me die to my flesh when I want something faster, or if something doesn’t go my way. I ask that You enable me supernaturally to choose to be love instead of choosing to be impatient. I love You Lord. I need You now. In Jesus’ name I pray.

Morning Goal: Between now and the afternoon- In a situation where growing impatient and reacting out of that place would be your normal, intentionally choose love by being patient and praying over the situation. You and Jesus can do ALL things together!

Noon:
Read over your scripture verse.
Now close your eyes and see how far you can get without looking! GREAT JOB!

Today’s Focus:
Love is Patient.

The greek word used for patient in this verse is makrothymeō. This is a verb, meaning it is something you do, not something you are.

Here is the definition of the original Greek word:
Outline of Biblical Usage
-to be of a long spirit, not to lose heart
-to persevere patiently and bravely in enduring misfortunes and troubles
-to be patient in bearing the offenses and injuries of others
-to be mild and slow in avenging
-to be longsuffering, slow to anger, slow to punish

Knowing that it is not your goal to “be” patient, but instead to become a patient person, a person who does patience well, and seeing the definitions above, how does that change your perspective on what the goal is?

Prayer: Jesus, it is so good to know that You don’t set me up for failure. You aren’t axing me to become anything I can’t be in You. As I look over these definitions, I ask that you would highlight which part/s of “being” patient- as an action, as a reflection of You, that I am doing well, and the part/s that I need You to come in and teach me how to grow in. I desire to be more like You Jesus. Help me! In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Afternoon goal: As you and Jesus have decided which part of being patience is hard for you, intentionally be aware of the opportunity that He gives you this afternoon to grow in this particular area. Pray ahead of time that He will help you see it, and choose to be love instead of impatient! REMEMBER, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH HIM!

Night:
Read over your scripture aloud.
Read it again with your name in it.

Today’s Focus:
Love is Patient.

Take some time to reflect on how you deliberately chose to be patient when you wanted to respond differently. How did that change the way things played out? How did that change your emotional state? Did you try to do this in your own power or with God’s help? How did that go? If you can, write down the small steps you made for big change.

Lord Jesus, I thank You for loving me. I thank You for choosing Me to share Your love to the world. Today was a struggle to choose patience, but I am confident that ALL things are possible with You. I want to increase the amount I choose to lean on and trust in You. Please continue you to teach me, lead, me a guide me in becoming more and more like You. I love you Lord, Amen!

As you lay down tonight, begin contemplating tomorrow’s focus- Love is Kind.

We are beginning!

Standard

Don’t forget this year we embark on a journey to intentionally memorize and live out the Word of God by focusing on the same scripture at least three times a day.
You can find this journey on my coaching page on Facebook, or on my coaching website. Please join us. We can literally change the world and reach the nations by being LOVE to the world on purpose!

Here is the first step:

Good Morning and Happy Monday!
We are about to begin Morning, Noon, and Night- a journey into memorizing and living out the Word of God! I AM SO EXCITED! This has been on my heart to do for about 5 years!

First things first, how do you memorize scripture?
I have a few ways that work for me- but you can try or suggest to the rest of us any ways that work for you.

1)I read it every day and say it out loud.
2) I write it on my bathroom mirror and read it while I’m getting ready.
3)After I’m more familiar, I close my eyes and begin trying to say it without looking.
4) Write it on a notecard and look at it whenever I have a second.
5) I ask the Lord to hide it in my heart and allow it to become a part of who I am.

Let’s begin that way today. Our first section of scripture is on Love, and it comes from 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.8 Love never fails.

Morning, Noon, and Night

One of the best choices we can make to succeed in life- is to know the Word of God. This is a major game changer- He is what gives us directions, wisdom, guidance, and teaches us the highest way to live. One thing for 2014 that the Lord has placed on my heart is returning to the discipline of memorizing scripture and choosing to deliberately base my actions and reactions upon the scripture I am currently memorizing. Then, I felt that He wanted me to share this journey with you- would you like to join me? We are going to memorize one portion of scripture a week, and deliberately act upon it morning, noon, and night.
We start Monday- so begin thinking upon and working on memorizing this portion of scripture if you want to join along! ( I am so excited because I can’t imagine the ripple effects and how much more we will become like HIM!)

Just follow this link, and like the page on Facebook to join along.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
New Living Translation (NLT)
4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
